New Project News

AEI currently utilizes a Trimble SX10 "All-In-One" Total Station on various job sites.  This device allows for scans from stable positions without requiring special lifts or equipment to reach difficult locations.  The data collected will be brought into a feature extraction software, Trimble Business Center (TBC).  TBC utilizes a variety of tools to identify and quickly extrapolate features within point cloud data.  All features can then be imported into an AutoCAD drawing file.  AEI can provide an accurate 3D pointcloud of terrain plus any existing building or structures.  The pointcloud can also be converted for Building Information Models.

Home to the annual S.A.M.E. Golf Tournament for the Space Coast Post, the golf course was originally constructed in 1966 with 18 holes.  The land for this course is made up entirely of dredged up river bottom.  Allen Engineering worked closely with the City Engineers and the architect while providing construction surveying services.  Allen Engineering was later involved with new project architect when the course was expanded to its present day size of 27 holes.

One of the newest in Brevard County, this oceanfront park that sits on roughly 2 acres opened in 2009 with a boardwalk and pavilions.   This design was especially challenging due to the dune re-nourishment requirements that were established during the permitting process.  Allen Engineering engineered a similar type of project in Indian Harbour Beach - the 30 acre Richard Edgeton Bicentennial Park.

This 118 acre county park opened in 2006 and contains numerous sports related amenities, such as 7 baseball fields, 8 soccer fields, 4 tennis courts, and 2 basketball courts.  It also contains multiple playgrounds, several large pavilions, a community center, and an 8-foot walkway system throughout the park.  Unique to this park is the incorporation of the “Six-Mile” drainage canal into the 8 acres worth of cascading, wet detention areas that make up the stormwater management system for the park.
